Note 1602418 - SOLMAN_SETUP: Cannot use transaction SICF for BMC Appsight

While performing the manual activities in Basic Configuration on Solution Manager 7.1 SP01 using transaction SOLMAN_SETUP.
You are getting information message that "You cannot use this transaction to change the Service" while setting up BMC Appsight.

Error in the documentation.

Solution

The issue is solved for Solution Managed 7.1 SP02.
For SP01, instead of using the documentation provided with the manual activity 'Setup BMC Appsight' do as described here:

1. Start transaction SOAMANAGER

2. Go to tab 'Service Administration'

3. Select link 'Single Service Configuration'

4. Enter ags_check_licence_sep as 'Search Pattern' and press go

5. Select the ags_check_licence_sep line and press button 'Apply Selection'

6. In the details go to tab Configurations and press 'Create Endpoint'

7. In popup press 'Apply settings' to accept the defaults.

8. In the Configuration of Web Service 'AGS_CHECK_LICENCE_SEP': Endpoint 'binding' area check 'No Authentication' and enter as ABAP Service User SEP_WEBSRV or user you created for BMC Appsight in step 2.4 of Basic Configuration + its password and Save
